A customer in Alliance called about their Kenmore refrigerator’s ice maker not working and dishwasher door issues. When we arrived at the North Sawburg Avenue home, we found broken wires in the freezer door hinge that had disrupted the ice maker connection.

The Problem

Diagnosis

The wires in the freezer door hinge had broken. This severed the electrical connection needed for the ice maker to operate. The dishwasher door had come loose from its hinges, preventing proper operation.

• Parts replaced: WPW10279882 — water tube 5/16″
• Work performed: Repaired the wire connection in the freezer door hinge and installed a new water dispenser line. Also refastened the dishwasher door on the hinges
• Result: Both appliances returned to normal operation
