What factory authorization actually requires

Factory authorization isn't a title a shop claims — it's a credential each manufacturer awards independently. To become authorized, a repair company has to meet the manufacturer's requirements for technician training, parts distribution access, documented repair procedures, and warranty processing. Every authorization is evaluated separately: Bosch and GE don't recognize each other's programs, and Thermador technicians complete a different certification path than Bosch technicians even though both brands share a parent company (BSH Group).

When a shop holds authorization from four manufacturers concurrently, three things change for the customer:

1. OEM parts access. Parts are ordered directly through manufacturer distribution, not third-party suppliers. They arrive faster and are guaranteed genuine.
2. Warranty-compliant repairs. If an appliance is still under manufacturer warranty, an authorized repair won't void it. Non-authorized repairs on warranty units typically break warranty coverage.
3. Manufacturer repair procedures. Our technicians follow factory service bulletins — not workarounds. This matters most on sealed refrigeration systems, inverter compressors, and control board replacements, where improvised fixes can trigger cascading failures.
