Star Burner not igniting — Range or Cooktop
The Star Burner’s five-point star design can trap debris at the igniter port. Clean the burner cap and port opening first. If other burners ignite normally, the issue is specific to that burner’s igniter or spark module. If none ignite: spark module or wiring. Gas valve coil failure is the next check on gas-only models.
Dishwasher not draining — E24 or E25
Thermador Star Sapphire dishwashers share the Bosch platform. E24 means the drain is not pumping — check the filter and drain path before calling. E25 means the drain pump is physically blocked. Both are common and typically resolved in one visit. These are the same codes as Bosch dishwashers and use the same diagnostic path.
Oven not reaching temperature or F-code on display
Temperature sensor (NTC/thermistor) failure is the most common oven call. The oven runs but temperature is consistently off. F-codes on Thermador wall ovens typically indicate sensor, relay, or control board issues. Reset power first (60 seconds off at breaker). Temperature sensor replacement is usually a same-visit repair.
Refrigerator not cooling — E01, E02, E15, or EA150
Check and clean the toe-kick condenser first — it’s at the bottom front of Freedom Collection units, not the top or rear. E01/E02 are sensor faults. E15 is a warm temperature alert (may be sensor only if unit is actually cooling). EA150 is an ice/water communication fault requiring service mode diagnosis. Self-clean door latch locked — Oven or Range
Thermador oven door lock failures happen during or after a self-clean cycle. The door latch motor or switch sticks in the locked position. Try a full power reset. If the latch remains locked, the motor or wiring needs service. Do not force the door — it can bend the latch mechanism and complicate the repair.
