The Problem

Both freezer and fridge units were still cooling ok, but there was ice buildup on back interior of the fridge and the ice maker had stopped working several months ago.

Diagnosis

The Repair

• Parts replaced: DA97-07190G cover assembly evap ref, DA82-01415A water leakage assembly, DA97-07603B ice maker assembly AW4 12V, DA32-00006S temp sensor
• Work performed: Cleared the plugged defrost drain, installed a drain probe to prevent future blockages, programmed extended defrost time, replaced evaporator cover and installed updated drain tubes, replaced the ice maker
• Result: Error code cleared, ice buildup resolved, ice maker functional
