Not reaching temperature
Bake element failure, RTD temperature sensor drift, control board calibration, or door seal failure. Calibration testing is part of the diagnostic — many “not heating right” complaints are sensor drift, not element failure.
Convection fan failure
Failed convection motor, broken fan blade, or relay failure on the control board. On Bosch and Thermador premium wall ovens, convection-related failures are a known wear point — straightforward replacement.
Self-clean lock issue
Door lock motor stuck after self-clean, wax-motor failure, or control board lockout. Common cause: self-clean cycle overheated nearby components. We have the service-mode diagnostic to unlock and reset.
Control board failure
Display flickering, dead, or showing wrong info. Touch-key panel failure. Clock-control board (ERC) replacement is the most common wall oven repair past 10 years.
Door seal / gasket failure
Heat escapes through worn gasket — long preheat times, uneven cooking, hot outer door panel. Replacement is involved on built-in units but the part is straightforward.
Error codes
F-codes (Whirlpool/Maytag/KitchenAid), E000-series (Bosch/Thermador European-built units). Code reading is the diagnostic start; service-mode confirms.
Door glass delamination
Inner glass on Bosch/Thermador and other premium platforms can delaminate over time. Cosmetic but replacement is available. Diagnostic confirms the glass replacement is the right call.
Steam oven specific (Thermador/Bosch)
Steam oven units add a water-fill cycle and steam-generator that have unique failure modes — water tank seals, generator heating element, and steam-loop control. We service the full Thermador and Bosch steam oven lineup.
Wall oven diagnostic is $189 (higher than standard $167 because of built-in cabinetry access) and applies toward repair.
