On a service call to Canton, OH, Samuel found a completely dead Maytag dryer that wouldn’t respond at all. The door switch and main switch both checked out, but the unit still wouldn’t run. The culprit turned out to be a shorted cycling thermostat, and the dryer was back in service the same visit.
