A Maytag dryer on Waynesburg Dr SE was heating but wouldn’t tumble or turn. We found a broken belt and a displaced bearing slide that needed attention to get this unit back to normal operation.

The Problem

Diagnosis

Upon inspection, we discovered the belt was broken. Additionally, the right hand front bearing slide was displaced from its proper position. These two issues combined prevented the drum from rotating despite the heating element functioning normally.

• Parts replaced: 341241 — Dryer Belt
• Work performed: Replaced belt with one from truck stock. Right hand front bearing slide was displaced, I was able to reinstall it without having to replace it.
• Result: Good to go.
