The Problem
The customer called because their Samsung dryer won’t work. No heat, no tumbling, no operation whatsoever from this DV210AEW/XAA unit.
Diagnosis
Testing revealed the heat element had failed completely, preventing any heating function. The idler pulley was also worn and causing mechanical issues that stopped the drum from turning properly.
The Repair
- Parts replaced: DC97-14486A (assembly duct heater), DC93-00634A (idler pulley)
- Work performed: Replaced the heat element and idler pulley
- Result: Operation is normal
