Dryer repair in Louisville, Ohio & Stark County
A dryer that won’t heat leaves you with wet laundry and no plan. Text me the details and I’ll get you on the schedule.
Dryer problems I fix
Most dryer calls come down to one part or one airflow issue, not a dead machine. Here’s what I see most often:
- No heat, or clothes still damp at the end of the cycle
- Won’t start or won’t power on
- Won’t tumble — the drum won’t turn
- Loud, squealing, or grinding while running
- Takes far too long to dry a normal load
- Shuts off early, before the load is dry
A surprising number of “my dryer is dying” calls turn out to be restricted airflow — a clogged vent or blocked exhaust makes a healthy dryer run hot, run long, and shut off early. I check that first, because it’s often the whole problem.
I work on both gas and electric dryers. If yours is a Samsung, Speed Queen, or Whirlpool unit, I have specific pages for those brands — but I service every major make.
What to expect
I start by diagnosing the actual cause, not guessing at parts. No heat can trace back to a heating element, an igniter, a thermal fuse, or blocked airflow — and each one is a different fix. When I know what’s wrong, I explain it to you in plain terms.
Then I give you an honest call on repair or replace. A good dryer is usually worth fixing, and a single part often beats buying a whole new machine. But if it isn’t worth fixing, I’ll tell you that too.
Most repairs are done in one visit. I use OEM parts, and completed repairs are backed by my own 6-month labor warranty.
