GE Refrigerator Repair – UNIONTOWN, OH (GNE25JGKGFWW)

A GE refrigerator at a home on Moonglo St NW in Uniontown, OH was producing a periodic sequential clicking sound and had no water coming from the dispenser, though the unit was still cooling and the bottom freezer remained functional. Samuel visited the home and found the water supply valve had been shut off, which was causing the water valve to chatter when the ice maker cycled. Turning the supply valve back on and confirming there were no leaks resolved the issue, and the dispenser is now operating normally.

The Problem

Makes periodic sequential clicking sound. Ice maker not used for a few years. No water at water spout. Does cool and bottom freezer is working

The Repair

Water valve was chattering when icemaker cycled around. I found the water supply was shut off. Turned valve on, leak checked. Dispenser is operating normally. Good to go. Customer does not want to address icemaker issue at this point, but if he decides to down the road, it looks like it will need a full tube heater.
