Samuel made a service call to a home on Snively Ave NW in Massillon to look at a GE refrigerator that wasn’t keeping the fresh food section cold enough and had an ice maker falling short on production. The ice maker issue traced to a missing fill tube funnel, and the fresh food temperature concern was documented through diagnostics for the customer to monitor going forward.
The Problem
So the ambient temp in the fridge is t dropping below 40 though the door control says 34 and the blower is blowing out at 34 according to my temp hi. And the ice maker isn’t producing ice like it should and it almost seams like it’s dripping into the thick tray and crating a frozen puddle in the catch tray
The Repair
Icemaker missing filled tube funnel. Installed funnel on icemaker. Not sure what’s going on with fresh food. Diagnostics show average has been close to that point. Diagnostics also show extended defrost time. Customer to monitor and advise if issue persists.
