GE Washer Repair – Canton, OH (GUD27ESSM1WW)

A GE washer at a home on 20th St NW in Canton, OH was reported to have a door that would not latch properly and would not advance through the wash cycle. Samuel visited the address, diagnosed the issue using stored fault codes, and replaced the lid lock assembly. After servicing, the unit passed all function tests and returned to normal operation.

Customer complaint of repeated lid locking failure with unit not advancing through wash cycle. Fault codes found: F23 x 6 (Critical Lid Lock Failure: Can’t Lock Lid) occurring 10 days ago at cycle 82 as the primary fault, F27 x 1 (Water Accessibility) occurring 20 days ago at cycle 81 as a secondary downstream fault caused by the lid lock failure interrupting cycle progression, and F19 x 1 (UI State Timeout) occurring 340 days ago at cycle 15 as an old isolated fault unrelated to current complaint. F23 recurring 6 times confirmed lid lock assembly failure as root cause. Fault codes cleared, lid lock assembly replaced, unit tested and passed wash, fill, drain, spin, and lock function tests. Unit operating normally.
