A Massillon, OH homeowner on Red Fox Drive NW needed help after a moving company disconnected the dryer vent piping from the floor, leaving their Whirlpool dryer unable to exhaust properly. Samuel visited the home and reconnected the vent through the floor using a flexible aluminum vent hose, and also checked and corrected the neutral connections on the terminal block. The Whirlpool MEDB835DW4 dryer was back in working order following the December 2019 service call.
The Problem
Vent from dryer needs connected to vent in floor. The moving company removed the part of the vent HVAC piping that came out of the floor.
The Repair
Reconnected the vent through the floor. I used a stiff aluminum vent hose that I supplied. Also checked and corrected the neutral connections on terminal block. Please note that the power cord needs to have a strain relief attached where the cord enters the dryer cabinet.
Parts replaced: Vntaf496 (aluminum dryer vent flexible).
