Maytag Washer Repair – LOUISVILLE, OH (MVW6230RHW1)

Louisville Appliance Repair recently visited a home on Sturbridge Drive in Louisville, OH, to take a look at a Maytag washer, model MVW6230RHW1, that was producing a smoke smell when plugged in. The unit was found to be completely dead, and the diagnosis pointed to a shorted drain pump along with a faulty control board. Parts have been identified and the repair is pending installation to get the washer back up and running.

The Problem

I think the motor or control board is bad. When we plug it in we smell smoke but none is see

The Repair

Unit completely dead. 120 V AC to main board, no DC voltage to UI. Drain pump is shorted. Needs control board and drain pump.
