LG Washer Repair – Magnolia, OH (WT4801CW)

A customer in Magnolia, OH called about their LG washer making a lot of noise and clunking when shifting cycles. After inspection, we found the unit was mechanically sound but showing early signs of bearing wear that will eventually require replacement.

The Problem

When it is running it is making ALOT of noise. When it shifts cycles it is cluncking. We had someone out to look at our Dryer that was covered under warranty he ran a diagnostic on the washer and said it was fine. But all the noise is making us nervous that something may be ready to break.

Diagnosis

Couldn’t find anything obviously wrong. I did tighten the agitator and removed stator and checked everything out. I suspect the bearings are starting to fail.
